Spectacular volcanic scenery

Sweeping curtains of aurora
Close to the Arctic Circle, our Iceland tours are visually stunning. Amongst the ice-hewn wilderness that’s bursting with natural wonders, this remote country is surprisingly close to home. Where else can you encounter ice caps, lava fields, volcanic desert and fjords after a three hour flight from the UK? Our Iceland trips will leave you wanting to return again and again.
Geologically speaking, Iceland is something of a late starter. Active volcanoes have been busy forming islands off the coast from as late as 1963 and it’s hard to forget the pesky rumblings of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in 2010. Relatively untouched by tourism, you can sense the rugged vitality of the elements as you venture into the interior.
Our Iceland tours start in Reykjavik, the world’s most northerly capital. The clean, green city is home to a wealthy, bohemian people and a great place to tuck into super fresh seafood. Driving into the countryside, take the plunge in one of the steamy open air pools and indulge in the milky-blue, mineral-rich waters, heated by the island's geo-thermal springs. You can cool off with an exciting array of winter sports like snowmobiling or snowshoeing. By night Iceland is a great place to view the aurora borealis high above some of the most stunning scenery in Europe so cameras need always be at the ready.
