Activity-filled Week
Explore the surreal scenery by bike, travel by horseback and get up close and personal with the fairy chimneys as you wander through the valleys shaped first by geology and then by man. You will have the opportunity to swim in the rivers and waterfalls and take in the breathtaking beauty of Cappadocia.
Local culture and traditions
This tour not only gives you plenty of activities to keep you busy but also an opportunity to get to know the locals by having lunch with a family in Cukurbag village. Here you will be able to help prepare traditional food and discover more about their lifestyle. You will also have the opportunity to relax in a Turkish bath, also known as a Hamam, a great age-old tradition in Turkey.
Expert Dr John Mason
Our Dr John Mason will be travelling with you through this unique landscape. In the evening Dr Mason will put on an live planetarium show using a laser pointer to to show the wonders of the universe from talking about the phases of the moon to guiding you through constellations and searching for planets. With Dr Mason's enthusiastic show, you won't want to close your eyes for fear of missing something!
Derinkuyu Underground City
This ancient underground city was designed to shelter thousands of Hittites along with their livestock and food stores. This complex has a total of 11 floors and extends to a depth of 85m. A local guide will lead us through the city which will feel like entering a giant Swiss cheese, with holes everywhere.
